WiFi6 (802.11ax) is the latest standard of WiFi technology. It is an improvement on the previous generation WiFi5 (802.11ac) standard. It is mainly to increase network speed, improve transmission efficiency and reduce network speed in environments with a large number of devices Congestion, as a way to improve the user's online experience and build.
Like the previously released WIFI technology standards, WiFi6 is also compatible with previous standards. Any terminal device that can connect to WiFi can access the WiFi6 network.
WI-FI6 has all the MIMO features of WI-FI5. In addition, many features for high-density deployment scenarios have been added. The following are the core new features of WI-FI6:
◆OFDMA Frequency Division Multiplexing Technology
◆DL/UL MU-MIMO technology
◆Higher order modulation techniques (1024-QAM)
◆Spatial multiplexing technology (SR) & BSS Coloring coloring mechanism
◆Extended Coverage (ER)
The maximum transmission rate of WiFi5 is 3.5Gbps, while the maximum rate of WiFi6 can reach 9.6Gbps. WiFi5 only involves the 5Ghz frequency band, while WiFi6 covers both 2.4 and 5Ghz frequency bands. WiFi6 fully covers both low-speed and high-speed devices.
If a WiFi 6 device needs to pass the WiFi Alliance certification, it must use the WPA 3 security protocol, which is more secure. The security of WPA3 security protocol is further improved. It can better prevent brute force attacks, brute force cracking, etc.
WiFi 6 introduces TARget Wake Time (TWT) technology. It allows proactive planning of communication time between devices and wireless routers. Reducing the use of wireless network antennas and signal search time can reduce power consumption to a certain extent and improve device battery life.
WIFI module WG236 integrates Bluetooth Dual Mode 5.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11ax (WiFi6)chips. The chip integrates hardware and software resources needed to complete Wi-Fi and Bluetooth applications, supports AP and STA dual role connections, and supports both classic and low-power Bluetooth connections. An MCU running at speeds up to 240 MHz and built-in 512 KB RAM enables the chip to support cloud connectivity.
WG236 has a wealth of peripherals, such as PWM, I2C, UART, SPI. You can download and burn the program directly through UART. Up to six channels of 32-bit high-speed PWM output use the chip ideal for high quality LED control. Each 2 PWM can be configured for phase-controlled differential mode to support motor and lamp strip drives.
The WG236 supports low-power sleep mode, and the MCU can enter the sleep state and reach the microamps level of sleep current. The WG236 supports deep sleep mode, which can run 32 bit clock at several microamps of current and can be awakened by this clock or by any GPIO.
WG236 is a compact WIFI module that supports 802.11b/ g/ n/ ax single-stream, low-power application processor. It is a low-cost serial WIFI module that supports UART-WIFI-ethernet data transmission.
